Work package 13 - Student Association
Coordination and monitoring: by the Board of European Aquaculture Society - Student Group (EAS-SG)
Aim: To improve the interaction and communication between students (from all areas of the AQUA-TNET domain) and education providers.
This WP continues the work in developing a symbiotic relationship between students and educational providers ensuring course design and content is fit for purpose and relevant to students’ requirements. This work is crucial in ensuring effective dissemination of knowledge to and from students.
Main Objectives:
A. To increase representation from and communication between students in the AQUA-TNET domain.
B. Carry out needs analysis of students in the network domain to identify new generic skills required to provide input to WP4.
C. Report on all work packages to students through newsletters.
D. Encourage students to participate in student mobility programmes (WP3), both at MSc and PhD level, as well as increase participation in curriculum development and evaluation (WP1 and WP2).
E. Identify mechanisms by which information on the needs of Research Institutes (WP 10) and Industry (WP 11) stakeholders (e.g. curriculum and skills required) can be provided to students in order to help them in their curriculum planning.
F. Organize an AQUA-TNET session in the annual Student Forums at EAS meetings, in which presentations on the AQUA-TNET activities and outcomes will be made, followed by discussion.
